Easy to Build Compost Bin

If you're looking for a project for your garden, check out the compost bin my son built for me last summer.

The bin is made from seven pallets that are attached to each other with deck screws. Here's another picture to help you see how it is put together.

Before my son built this, I just had piles of composting material sitting in my garden. That worked, but I am enjoying having a place to keep my compost piles a little more contained. I'm starting with three bins, but it takes a long time for things to break down in the dry climate of southeast Idaho, so I may need to add another bin or two.

By the way, these pictures were taken last year, so no, my corn isn't that tall already this year. AND, yes, those are weeds. I live in the real world where weeds grow and I don't have a crew to make everything perfect before I do a photo shoot.
